Mesut Ozil

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has expressed his delight with German international Mesut Ozil following his quality display and a goal at the Emirates Stadium against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Mesut Ozil had his first start in Arsenal since January 29 and scored a goal with another assist in the game to prove he is back in good form.

Before now, the former Real Madrid star was not given the opportunity by the Spanish manager owing to what he describes as unsatisfactory performance by Mesut Ozil in big games when he most needed.

Emery had expected that as the highest earner of the club he should give his all to justify the pay but that was not seen which sparked speculations of an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil had earlier dismissed the speculations and made it clear that he would be staying at the club to regain his starting role with hard work.

However, the spirit of the German international has been attested to by the former PSG boss as he stated that Mesut Ozil is now happier at the club.

He stated that Ozil helped the team with his quality and his work by organizing the team to play in different systems.
