Like Chelsea, Turkish football club, Besiktas are participating in the Uefa Europa League this season and hope to strengthen their squad when the transfer window open in January.

A new report has made it known that Turkish club, Besiktas are already in talks with Chelsea FC to sign their 32-year-old striker, Olivier Giroud.

The report added that Giroud agents have agreed to the move that will see him leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

Olivier Giroud signed a contract with Chelsea in January after he left Arsenal, he still has one more year to go at Stamford Bridge.

The world cup winner has made appearances for the Blues this season but he is yet to have a goal to his name except for goal assists.

Irrespective of his performance, Chelsea cannot afford to let Giroud go in the January transfer window except they get a replacement.

This is because Chelsea two other strikers, Tammy Abraham,  and Michy Batshuayi are out of the club on loan spells.

Besiktas want to bring Olivier Giroud on board after they let go of their striker, Alvaro Negredo to UAE side Al Nassr in mid-September.

Chelsea will continue their race in the Europa league today as they face Hungarian side, Mol Vidi.
