Declan Rice

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has pledged his international allegiance to the Three Lions of England despite the fact that he has already been capped by the Republic of Ireland.

The 19-year-old has been in very good form for the Hammers since he made his debut in the Premier League clash at Manchester City last season and his form has attracted a lot of interests at both club and international level.

Declan Rice is currently courting the interest of major Premier League clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

He recently signed a five-year contract at West Ham United to take him to the end of the 2023/24 season but the contract extension has not stopped the transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

He penned an extension after a lengthy contract standoff with West Ham.

Declan Rice has now pledged his international future to England over the Republic of Ireland influenced by advice from Chelsea legend John Terry.

He has featured in three friendly matches for the Republic of Ireland means that he’s still eligible for England.

Ex-Blues defender John Terry has struck an unlikely friendship with Declan Rice since he was released at Chelsea at the age of 14.
