Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that young Blues winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to play more first team football after his impressive form on his first Premier League start.

Sarri handed Hudson-Odoi his first Premier League start against Brighton and Hove Albion and the youngster didn’t disappoint his manager.

The recently capped England international provided the assist for the first goal scored by French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud in the first half before Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek added a second and third goal respectively to give Chelsea a convincing 3-0 win over the Seagulls.

Chelsea fans had earlier called on Sarri to give Hudson-Odoi more Premier League minutes but the Italian tactician has always been reluctant until Wednesday night.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has impressed many football watchers with his performances for the Blues in the cup competitions, especially in the Europa League.

He won his first two England caps during the last international break against Czech Republic and Montenegro in the Three Lions’ qualifiers.

During his post-match press conference, Sarri was impressed with the contribution of Callum Hudson-Odoi to the easy win over Brighton as he said that the young English winger can become one of the best players in the world adding that he must continue to improve on his game.
