We’re in the last week of the ongoing winter window and clubs should be rounding up their transactions.

Traditionally, especially in England, the last week of every transfer period is always busy and this week won’t be an exception as English clubs are reportedly improving offers for their prime targets so as to beat the time.

As for Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri sealed a loan move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain last week.

However, he is still in search of a midfielder to replace Cesc Fabregas, that’s according to reports from Stamford Bridge via Daily Star.

The Italian manager is linked with numerous midfielders, but considering the number of days left in the transfer market, it’s unlikely he gets more than one player.

Leandro Paredes who currently plays for Zenit St Petersburg, and Real Madrid’s Isco are heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this winter but the Blues might end interest in the Santiago Bernabeu midfielder.

Just as he is adding to his team, Maurizio Sarri is also releasing some players in order to create space and reduce the weekly wages paid to players.

Cesc Fabregas left Stamford Bridge for Monaco two weeks ago, while, Victor Moses has been loaned out to Fenerbahce for the rest of the season.

Danny Drinkwater is reportedly the next player to move out of Stamford Bridge as seeks greener pasture before the end of the campaign.

Turkish struggling side Fenerbahce are said to leading the race for his services but they are only willing to capture him on a six-month loan.
