Long-term Arsenal target on Spurs radar

Joachim Andersen

Tottenham are making efforts to have the signing of Sampdoria central defender Joachim Andersen who has long been a target for Arsenal over last two summers transfer windows.

Tottenham were not involved in the last summer transfer market as funds were not available due to the commitment the club were engaged in while building their new stadium.

However, there is a need to strengthen the team so as to be able to continue the push for a Champions League spot next season as they currently sit in the fourth position in the Premier League table.

The Denmark international has therefore proven he has the qualities to fit in the rigours of the English Premier League with his focus and strength which makes him a major target.

Reports hint that Mauricio Pochetttino is keen to have Joachim Andersen at the club and will do all it takes to have him pen his signature at the North London.

However, Joachim Andersen has been a long-term for Tottenham’s London rivals Arsenal with the Emirates Stadium side being denied a deal for the player on several occasions.

Although, they now seem to be encouraged with the fact that a deal was able to fall through with Lucas Torreira in the summer which means they might attempt to give another try.
