Alex Sandro

English Premier League side Manchester United might not be able to have their wish for Italian Serie A champions Juventus star player Alex Sandro in the winter transfer window.

This is after it was reported that he is set to remain with the Italian Champions by signing a fresh and improved deal at the club.

In a report by Goal, it was confirmed that Alex Sandro will sign a four year deal that will keep him at Juventus until 2023.

This remains a big blow to the Red Devils who were keen to add the star player to their team ahead of the second stanza of the season which starts in January.

With United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and Jose Mourinho reported to have agreed on having new additions in the winter market, the Old Trafford side will now have to look another direction as Alex Sandro might no longer be available.

However, the Portuguese boss is believed to be more interested in having more additions to his defence and that is expected to be his major target ahead of the winter window.

United are currently sixth place in the Premier League table as a result of their slow start which is a major reason why reinforcement is a must to save the season in the second stanza.
