Klopp Vows To Fight Back In Title Race

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that his team will fight back in the keenly contested race to win the Premier League.

In his post-match thoughts after the Everton game via Goal, Jurgen Klopp backed his players to fight for the Premier League title till the end of the season.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 manager spoke to reporters after his Liverpool team played out a goalless draw with hosts Everton in their Merseyside Derby clash in the Premier League.

The Reds were frustrated by their city rivals who were determined to put spanner in their works as far as winning the Premier League trophy is concerned.

Liverpool are arguably the most successful English club in history after five Champions League titles and 18 league titles but they are yet to win the Premier League title since it began in 1992.

The Merseysiders started the weekend with a one-point lead over title rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Premier League champions Manchester City secured the top spot on Saturday after their 1-0 win at Bournemouth courtesy a 55th-minute strike from substitute Riyad Mahrez and Liverpool needed to beat Everton to snatch it back from the Citizens.

As it stands, Liverpool trail Manchester City by one point with nine games to go.
