More to Manchester United’s first defeat under new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against PSG in the Champions League is the fact that two important players were forced out of the Tuesday night game.

Since taking over as the club’s interim boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has overseen 12 games and the Champions League clash against the Ligue 1 side will make it his first defeat.

However, they are not only in disappointment but they are left sweating over the fitness of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial who were injured in the game.

While Jesse Lingard could not see out the first half of the game after limping off, former Monaco forward could not return for the second half.

However, United have stated that the two stars would be assessed in coming days as they are feared to have suffered muscle problems which might have them unfit for the fifth round clash against Chelsea on February 24.

More so, the Red Devils are preparing for an all-important Premier League game against Liverpool later in the month but it is unclear if they will be available for the game.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that both players are a major part of the team and will only hope for their early return.
