Conor Coady could be on his way to Anfield

Premier League table toppers Liverpool are interested in bringing back one of their former players according to various reports coming out of the British media.

Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady has impressed a great deal in the top flight of English football this season and that has caught the eye of his former club Liverpool.

Daily Mail claim that the Reds are monitoring the player’s situation at Wolves with the view to making a bid to sign him.

It was also revealed that North London giants Arsenal are also interested in the Wolves skipper.

Conor Coady is on a weekly wage of £36,000 at Wolverhampton Wanderers though reports claim that the Midlands club would like to offer him a new contract that will see a significant rise in his salary.

He signed a new contract at Wolves in September 2017 to take him till the end of the 2020/21 season.

Coady is a Liverpudlian who rose through the ranks at Liverpool before he was sold to Huddersfield Town by then Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.

His sale came shortly after a loan spell at Championship side Sheffield United.
The Wolves defender started his career at Molineux as a midfielder before club manager Nuno Santo converted him to a central defender.
