Liverpool FC have ‘the upper hand’ of completing €60m transfer

Merseyside giants Liverpool have been touted to resurrect a transfer deal for Lyon star Nabil Fekir following the break down of talks before the FIFA World Cup.

Break down in initial talks
The Lyon skipper had been expected to complete a switch to Liverpool after he had agreed to personal terms and a reported £53million transfer fee.

A delayed unveiling caused a collapse in negotiation because of worries raised over a knee problem discovered during his medical test at Anfield.

This looked to relate to the player’s lengthy injury worries over the 2015/2016 season, although the attacker himself has since calm fears over his physical fitness.

Deal could happen after World cup
Reports have offered fresh hope that a transfer deal could be reignited when the playmaker returns home from the World cup – with French football pundit Jonathan Johnson becoming the latest believer in that deal.

Speaking on the issue on Sky Sports, the player said he thinks there’s a very high possibility that he will join Liverpool.
