Man City, Arsenal, Southampton scramble for Nigerian “Patrick Vieira”

Emerging reports reveal that English Premier League outfits Man City, Arsenal and Southampton are all jostling for the signature of Nigerian youngster Joe Aribo ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

Joe Aribo has been impressive for Charlton this season and the English Premier League champions have made inquiries about his availability after learning that he would be a free agent in the coming month.

It is suggested that Joe Aribo will seek to leave Charlton as he is yet to sign a new deal with the club after it has been claimed that have been making efforts to convince him with a new deal.

Speaking with allnigeriasoccer.com, Joe Aribo said he likes to play like North London outfit Tottenham midfielder Moussa Dembele but a number of pundits have likened him to be the new Patrick Vieira of his time.

Joe Aribo is left-footed and has proven his quality in strength and ability to get the game under control. The 22-year-old has scored in each of the last four games for Charlton which makes it his 10th goal in 37 games.

However, the Gunners and the Citizens have been tipped to be the favourites in the chase of the young Nigerian but suggestions are that he would prefer a move to Arsenal where he would secure more playing time.
