‘We are battle ready’ – Man Utd ready to sign 49-year-old man

Monchi

Manchester United are battle ready for Barcelona as they are not ready to leave anything to chance in order to secure the service of a Sporting Director.

Currently, the situation at Roma is unpleasant as the head of recruitment, Monchi might be seeing his last days at the club.

Without any delay, Manchester United will be ready to pick him up immediately but will have to battle it out with Spanish giants, Barcelona who have also shown interest.

The Italian side are furious with the transfer dealings under Monchi which have seen the sales of Kevin Strootman to Marseille and Alisson to Liverpool without any meaningful replacement.

United’s chairman, Ed Woodward might be ready for better business deals having experienced a disappointing summer transfer, a development that got manager Jose Mourinho frustrated.

The Red Devils secured the signatures of midfielder Fred, inexperienced full-back Diogo Dalot and backup goalkeeper Lee Grand but Mourinho thinks it is not enough to challenge for the Premier League title.

However, former goalkeeper, Edwin Van Der Sar has been considered for the job but the former goalkeeper has now been tipped as a better option, owing to his experience with the Italian team.

Should a deal fall in place for United, it will mean that Mourinho will get to smile as the club will be actively engaged in the coming transfer window.
