Liverpool forward Sadio Mane continued his fantastic form for the Reds during the win over struggling Fulham in their Premier League clash at the Craven Cottage.

Mane was on target in the Reds’ 2-1 win over Fulham away from home.

The Senegalese international was the star of the show for Liverpool who have claimed the Premier League summit as a result of the victory over the Cottagers.

Sadio Mane has now scored 17 league goals in the Premier League to set a new record for the number of goals scored by a Senegalese in a Premier League campaign.

He beats the record of Demba Ba who scored 16 Premier League goals during the 2011/12 season.

Mane took his tally to eleven goals in eleven games in all competitions with his strike against Fulham.

He has now scored seven goals in his last five games in all competitions.

The Senegalese international star took a 26th-minute lead through Sadio Mane before Ryan Babel capitalised on a defensive mix-up to level proceedings for the home team on 74 minutes.

Mane was then fouled in the Fulham box by goalkeeper Sergio Rico thus paving the way for substitute James Milner to score the resulting penalty and hand the Reds a slim 2-1 win.
