Mourinho in crucial meeting with Ed Woodward

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is expected to have a crucial meeting with the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward on Thursday.

While the details of the meeting was not made public, it is believed to be talks on the way forward for the club which includes the Portuguese’s future at the club.

According to The Express, Mourinho’s future will be decided at the meeting with the worst is expected to happen.

There was calm at United at the weekend following the win against Newcastle on Saturday after the Mourinho side came from behind to see a sweet victory.

Before the win, The Portuguese manager’s future at the Old Trafford was subject to doubt as it was speculated that he would be sacked after seeing four games without a win and the worst start for United as a club in its history.

However, there were assurances some hours before the 3-2 win that the former Chelsea boss will not be sacked and had received the backing of the club chiefs to keep his job and change the fortune of the team.

The Red Devils will return from the international break to face Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge in the Premier League encounter.
