Mourinho desperate to sign £27m-rated star player

Manchester United are reportedly desperate to wrap up the transfer deal for German top flight Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund creative midfielder Axel Witsel ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Although Axel Witsel has a contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2022 having just returned from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian where he spent the 2017/2018 season, he is tipped to move away from Germany in coming weeks with lots of interest lined up for him.

It would be recalled that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho went on a mission to scout the player during the recent UEFA Nations League where his Belgium side clashed with Iceland and he was convinced of the player’s quality.

ESPN reports that Axel Witsel has got lots of interests across Europe because of his worthy performance against in the German Bundesliga so far this season with the Portuguese boss desperate to win the race over other suitor’s ion the coming winter window.

It is no longer news that the United team are currently struggling with unsatisfactory performance at the moment which makes more additions important to the team’s outing this season.

However, it is unclear if the former Chelsea boss will be handed enough funds to run some transfer deals in the market.
