Liverpool Target In Talks With Chelsea Over January Transfer

French international forward Nabil Fekir has attracted a lot of interests from several clubs in the better part of the last one year and the latest team to show interest comes from the Western part of London.

The 25-year-old is said to be in talks with West Londoners Chelsea about a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has already called the Lyon star to outline his plans for him ahead of a possible move to London.

The Blues will have to spend at least £50m in the bid to sign him from his French Ligue 1 side.

Fekir came close to becoming a Premier League player in the summer when Liverpool agreed a €60m (£50m) deal for him.

The Reds went on to pull the plug on the deal due to doubts over his knee.

It was a bitter-sweet summer for him after he helped the French team to a second World Cup title in Russia.

Nabil Fekir was an integral member of the France squad that won this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia under the guidance of manager Didier Deschamps.

The win was made possible courtesy of the 4-2 victory over surprise finalists Croatia in their final clash in Moscow in July.
