Arsenal football club may have finally gathered their first 3-points of the season with an unconvincing 3-1win against West Ham on Saturday, however, one player’s absence sort of overshadowed the result amid rumours of a training ground bust up between Unai Emery and embattled German midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Ozil who was a surprise match day squad omission had been largely tipped to retain his place in the team in the midfield but fans were surprised to find him missing from the team.

Emery still basking in the euphoria of his first win as Arsenal manager talked about the situation in the post match press conference.

29 year-old Mesut Ozil has come under series of attack from German football chiefs after his surprise retirement from the National team following their disastrous 2018 FIFA World cup outing in Russia earlier in the summer. The player cited racism and maltreatment from the German Football Federation [DFB] as reasons for his retirement following the huge backlash he and Ilkay Gundogan received after meeting with controversial Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in May.
