Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has stated that he has no reason to be happy despite scoring in the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Xhaka scored a screamer, the first goal for Arsenal before it was complemented by striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang but the goals refused to count over his tactical error that ensured a penalty against his side.

The Swiss international has been drafted to the left full back for the last two games over the lack of options in the position after the layoff of Spanish Player Nacho Monreal as a result of the injury he suffered.

It was indeed a bad day for the Arsenal players who anticipated to pick up their 12th successive win of the season after successfully completing their 11th in the Europa League on Thursday against Sporting CP.

Xhaka stated that he has no reason to be happy about the goal he scored because he had sold his side’s 2-1 lead which means they have lost two points.

He admitted that the penalty was a clean one, confessing that he had touched the player’s knee in the contest.

Xhaka stated that it has always been difficult playing at Palace and the Sunday game was no exemption.
