Ex-Liverpool striker El-Hadji Diouf has ripped into one of his former teammates at the club in his latest interview.

According to the retired Senegalese international forward, Jamie Carragher was not good enough to play for Liverpool and that he had a career at Anfield because he’s a scouser.

El-Hadji Diouf has been a controversial figure in the world of football especially during his playing career which included a three-year spell at Liverpool.

He has been involved in exchange of words with the likes of Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard in the media.

Diouf scored six goals in 80 appearances for Liverpool over three years before leaving the club to join Bolton Wanderers.

Jamie Carragher was a one-club man during his football career after he made 730 appearances for Liverpool in 17 years.

He was part of the Liverpool team that won the 2005 Champions League final in dramatic style.

Liverpool came from behind to beat Italian Serie A giants AC Milan via penalties in that epic final in Istanbul.
