As the international break begins, France are expected to be without Manchester United and Arsenal stars, Paul Pogba and Alexandre Lacazette.

Both players will join Anthony Martial and Benjamin Mendy to be ruled out of the international games against Netherlands and Uruguay.

The Manchester United duo were excused from the French team after they were accessed by the team doctor Frank Le Gall at France’s Clairefontaine training ground.

The dismissal of North London forward remains a surprise having featured for his club at the weekend. He was ruled out alongside Martial for unnamed injury. But Pogba had missed United’s 3-1 defeat against Manchester City.

There is no doubt that those players will be missed as they form the major part of the team especially the Manchester United midfielder who was a major part of the team that won the World Cup in Russia.

The Premier League will now be put on hold with the international break expected to take charge within the period of one week before it goes off again.

European clubs have made good use of the international break to organize the UEFA Nations League Cup which has now replaced the norms of international friendlies that was initially known.
