Former European champions Real Madrid have confirmed the transfer of Eden Hazard from Premier League club Chelsea in a club-record deal.

His transfer was announced by the Spanish giants on Friday night.

Eden Hazard has put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth around €100m (£88) thus making him the club record signing ahead of the former recipient Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid paid a then club-record transfer fee of £85.3m to sign Bale from North London giants Tottenham Hotspur during the summer of 2013.

Real Madrid is the fourth summer signing at the club after Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes and Luka Jovic.

The Eden Hazard transfer will also take the Real Madrid spendings over the £220m mark as the Los Merengues rebuild their squad ahead of the new season.

Real Madrid had to rebuild their squad after a disastrous season with three managers which ended in addition to missing out on major trophies like the Spanish La Liga, Champions League and the Spanish Copa Del Rey.

Eden Hazard has finally gotten his wish of a dream move to Real Madrid where he will link up with his football idol Zinedine Zidane who returned to the club in March some months after he resigned from his job as the club manager.
