Liverpool forward Sadio Mane maintained his good form in front of goal after he scored to help Senegal overturn a deficit West African rivals Mali in their international friendly clash on Tuesday night.

Senegal played host to The Malians in Dakar in what was a battle of two countries preparing for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Sadio Mane started the Mali game on the bench before he was subbed on to good effect.

The Liverpool player equalised for Senegal with three minutes left on the clock.

He had come on as a 76th-minute substitute for Sada Thouib just four minutes after Mali took a shock lead via substitute Adama Traore.

The midfielder’s goal was cancelled out by Sadio Mane before another Senegalese substitute Moussa Konate scored the winner two minutes into added time to give his team the bragging rights in the West African Derby clash.

Liverpool star Mane has been one of the best players on the European football scene in recent weeks after netting 11 goals in as many games for the Reds in all competitions.

His form has propelled the Reds to the top of the table in the Premier League at the expense of champions Manchester City though Liverpool will do well to maintain their two-point lead as the Citizens have played a game less.
