Having led his home country, Senegal to the 2018 World Cup in Russia and giving Liverpool a wonderful performance in the last UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, Sadio Mane is back again.

This time around the African born player set a new record during Liverpool match against West Ham.

The forward has now scored three consecutive goals in an opening match of the English Premier League.

Sadio Mane has broken John Banes record to be the first player to score three consecutive goals in an opening match of the EPL.

John Barne had previously held the record between 1989-90 and 1991-92.

Sadio scored his last goal in the opening match against West Ham through an assist from Robert Firmino in the second half of the game.

Sadio Mane is one of the essential players of Liverpool attacking trio which include Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah and Brazil international, Robert Firmino.

Liverpool won West Ham with four goals to nil. This is not the first time the Reds will defeat the Hammers as they had done that last season in the first and second leg.

Liverpool will now take on Crystal Palace on the 20th of August.
