Sadly, Emery’s overhaul will affect this “impressive” player

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to have a total overall of his team and it is expected to begin with his defence.

Already, it has been announced that Stephan Lichtsteiner would be leaving the Emirates Stadium in this summer transfer window after seeing out his contract while Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal are on their way.

It is therefore sad to learn that Arsenal’s most impressive defender and skipper Laurent Koscielny could be affected in the shake up as Unai Emery is unhappy with the line up.

The Gunners defence conceded a total of 50 goals in the just-concluded season which is not enough to grab a top four finish or win a single title.

Arsenal have got Rob Holding to bank on as he is showing a glimpse that he can deliver at the club but Goal reports that French Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne centre-back William Saliba is now a top target.

The report claims that he has been scouted by the North London outfit while on assignment with the France youth team several times since the turn of the year.

Saliba only signed a new long-term contract with the Ligue 1 side in April, but it would be difficult to keep him at the club knowing how many offers he already has on the table.
