Last week produced lots of interesting fixtures and results with the game between Arsenal and Liverpool believed to be the biggest match of the week while the 6-1 thrashing of Southampton by Manchester City remains the biggest result of the week.

When Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was asked to pick his team of the week, he was quick to mention Arsenal attacker Alexandre Lacazette in his line-up after the player scored the goal that helped the North London team snatch a point from their visitors.

Earlier suggestions are that new Arsenal recruit Lucas Torreira would get the nod of any pick for the team of the week but that didn’t happen with the Sky Sports pundit.

Lacazette was joined by three Manchester City players, Raheem Sterling, David Silver and left-back Benjamin Mendy in Redknapp’s pick while two West Ham players Filipe Anderson and Declan Rice were mentioned.

Redknapp singled out praise for Rice after he helped his side secure 4-2 win over Burnley, stating that he has the trait of City’s Fernandinho at the midfield.

Also, Chelsea goal hero Alvaro Morata made the cut while Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Leicester City’s Wes Morgan and Hugo Lloris at the goal post were all selected.
