Transfer Ban Fallout: Chelsea Must Keep Hazard

Ex-Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has urged the club to keep star player Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge at all costs.

The Chelsea legend was reacting to the news that FIFA have slapped a two-window transfer ban on the Blues after they were found culpable in the registration of young players.

He spoke about the FIFA transfer ban on Chelsea while doing his punditry job on popular media channel Sky Sports.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee slapped the transfer ban on Chelsea after a three-year investigation involving over 12 players including Bertrand Traore.

The Blues were also fined 600,000 Swiss Francs (£430,600).

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink played for Chelsea between 2000 and 2004.

The ex-Dutch international attacker is desperate for Chelsea to hang on to Hazard whose contract will expire at the end of next season.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid dating back to last summer when he had a fantastic World Cup tournament in Russia.

Eden Hazard led Belgium to their best finish in the history of the competition.

The Red Devils of Belgium finished as the third-best team at the end of the tournament.

Eden Hazard has already talked up the dream move to Real Madrid via recent interviews.
