Aaron Ramsey

It has been revealed that Manchester United had last summer made a £50m bid for Arsenal contract rebel Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey is in his last year with the North London side and his contract has not been renewed. The player was reported to have walked out of the deal talks with his employers.

In a bid not to lose him for free, Arsenal have also put the Welshman up for sale ahead of the January transfer window before his contract expires in June next year.

BeinSport revealed that the player would have been a Red Devil player by now if the £50m offer had worked through.

Ramsey has been on the radar of the Old Trafford team for a long time, not forgetting the bid for him in 2008 before he chooses Arsenal instead.

United are looking forward to sealing their midfield with every possibility of having French midfielder Paul Pogba sold at the end of the season.

The former Juventus player has been accused of placing the Manchester side into crisis, a development that has affected the team in the dressing room and on the pitch.

With United looking to bring in Ramsey again, Arsenal will be willing to let the player go at a not too big price.
