Manchester United have been handed a price for their dream target and Wolves star player Ruben Neves ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in January.

Ruben Neves is one of the most important players in the Wolves team and they are reported to be interested in keeping him unless a suitor is willing to pay £110 million to have him.

Reports revealed that United were ready to accelerate their pursuit for the Portugal international as they are aware of the interest from rivals Manchester City.

However, United manager Jose Mourinho who is keen on the midfielder will be banking on the fact that he is a Portuguese to lure the player into a move to the Old Trafford.

Suggestions are that the Red Devils have met a stumbling block for the player as they might not be willing to pay the asking price for the Ruben Neves.

The Times reports that Wolves slapped such an amount as high as £110 million to be able to discourage suitors from the 21-year-old midfielder who has only spent 14 months in England having moved to his current side from Porto with a fee of £16 million.

It is unclear if any of the suitors, either United or City will be willing to pay such an amount for the player.
