Nicolò Barella

It has been revealed that North London outfit Arsenal scouts stormed the Italian Serie A on Tuesday night to watch Cagliari star Nicolo Barella as his team were defeated 2-0 by the league giants Juventus.

With the summer transfer window getting closer, the Gunners are making all efforts to have a final look at their options as they are set to storm the market for more additions to the team ahead of the coming season.

Nicolo Barella has been on the radar of the Arsenal team for a long period of time. He was expected to join the Emirates Stadium in the last January transfer window but it was obvious that the Unai Emery side were not ready for any major deal.

Now that some funds could be made available, Nicolo Barella is a major target for the Gunners team as they are also faced with competition from their West London rivals Chelsea.

The 22-year-old has been tipped to cost his suitors £43 million knowing his quality and how much he would be missed by the club.

With Arsenal parting ways with Wales international Aaron Ramsey, there is a need to have a replacement and Nicolo Barella has been tipped to impress with his ‘mature’ football.
