Marvin Plattenhardt

North London side Arsenal are reported to be keen on the signature of German Bundesliga outfit Hertha BSC defender Marvin Plattenhardt when the winter transfer window eventually opens.

The Gunners are struggling to have a balance in their defence with a number of players already out to injury in this crucial period of the league and the star player has been reported to be the best fit for the North London club.

With Nacho Monreal already 30 and seeming to be having injury challenges, there is a need for the Gunners to have a replacement to be able to give a good fight for a top-four finish at the end of the season.

Marvin Plattenhardt who joined the German Bundesliga outfit in 2014 with a fee of £2 million could be set for a switch to the English Preemie League at the Emirates Stadium.

With the 11 games under his belt this season, Marvin Plattenhardt has been able to hand 2 assists across all competitions in addition to his impressive performance for his side.

The North London side have been told they will have to pay the sum of £20 million to have his signature or wait until 2023 to have his signature when his contract at the club expires.
