Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has hinted that the club could make a move for one of the players on the books of arch rivals Real Madrid.

Bartomeu talked about a possible transfer for Real Madrid outcast Isco Alarcon while he was on Spanish radio station El Partidazo as he said that they are happy to sign players from their rivals (Real Madrid) if they want to come.

The last transfer between Real Madrid and Barcelona took place almost two decades ago when Portuguese football legend Luis Figo joined the Spanish capital club from the Catalans in 2000 in a then world-record deal.

Isco could break that 19-year-old jinx if he wants to join Barcelona.

The 26-year-old Spanish international has been attracting the interest of several European clubs in the wake of his struggles under Santiago Solari at Real Madrid.

Clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have all been touted as a potential transfer destination for the petite playmaker.

He previously spoke about the interest of Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona which dates back to the summer of 2017.

Isco Alcaron had an offer to join Barcelona but he turned it down in favour of signing a new deal at Real Madrid until 2022 with a €700m release clause.
