Spanish champions Barcelona have concluded plans to sell midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer if they receive the right offer for the Croatian World Cup star.

This is according to Spanish media portal Cadena SER which claimed that the Catalan giants would sanction the sale of Ivan Rakitic if they receive an appropriate offer for him.

Ivan Rakitic has been linked with several clubs on the European football stage including Chelsea though the Blues will have to sort out their transfer ban before any transfer is possible.

Chelsea were handed a two-window transfer ban by world’s football governing body FIFA for their misgivings in relation to the signing of underage players.

The West London giants have already had an appeal thrown out by FIFA’s Appeal Committee but the former Premier League champions are not ready to give up yet.

The recently crowned Europa League winners have submitted an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

Apart from Chelsea, Ivan Rakitic has been linked with Premier League rivals Manchester United as well as the duo of French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Ivan Rakitic has been at Barcelona since 2014 when the Croatian midfielder joined from fellow Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.
