The London duo of Crystal Palace and West Ham United have joined the race for Nigerian-born striker Dominic Solanke ahead of the next transfer window in the New Year.

The 21-year-old has struggled to break into the Liverpool team since he joined the Reds on a free transfer from Premier League title rivals Chelsea during last summer’s transfer window.

According to the publication from The Sun, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is still keen on holding on to Dominic Solanke but will allow him to go out on loan.

This attracted the attention of clubs like Crystal Palace and West Ham United who are interested in signing a striker in the January transfer window to boost their squad ahead of the second half of the season.

Fellow Premier League side Newcastle United have also been linked with a move for Solanke who came into prominence last summer after he helped England win the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament.

He won the best player award at the end of the tournament and went on to secure a transfer to Liverpool.

Dominic Solanke has also attracted transfer interests from several Turkish clubs.

His destination is expected to become clearer in the New Year.
