Chelsea hosted BATE Borisov in their third game of the Uefa Europa League last night.

The game saw Coach Maurizio Sarri rotate the Blues squad, playing Rube Loftus-Cheek ahead of other midfielders.

Sarri changed the Blues defense totally and gave England international and Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek a chance in the midfield, a selection he is glad he made.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was considered the man of the match as he scored his first hat-trick for Chelsea.

The game against BATE Borisov started with Loftus-Cheek giving the Blues a brace in the first half.

Loftus-Cheek went on to find the net the third time in the second half for Chelsea last night.

However, Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s performance last night is an indirect message not only to Chelsea but to coach Maurizio Sarri on what he (Sarri) has been missing for not giving the youngster some playing chances.

Prior to last night match, the Blues had planned to let go of Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan in the January transfer window.

This comes after the player had refused to leave Chelsea on loan in the last summer transfer window.

With the way he played last night, Chelsea FC will likely not let him leave in January and he is sure to start getting enough playing chances in the midfield.
